The End of Season Trip for 2026 has been booked at The Telford Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort, We have not been there before but it comes highly recommended.

Telford Golf Club overview
Style: Parkland
The golf club at Telford offers fantastic views of the Ironbridge Gorge and the Severn Valley. Designed by John Harris and Brian Griffiths, this parkland course measures 6,741 and accuracy off the tee is key. The Club has various facilities such as two practice putting areas, a chipping area, a pro shop and buggy hire.

The championship course at Telford Hotel, Spa & Golf Resort has matured since its opening in 1976 into a fantastic parkland course that will prove a challenging test for golfers of all abilities.
A mix of water hazards, tree-lined fairways and stunning picturesque views across the landscape have been inspired by Augusta, home of the US Masters. The course at Telford is an ideal venue for a golfing weekend for groups or just as a couples getaway.
Signature Holes
Opened in 1976, Telford Golf Course has matured into one of the best parkland golf courses in Shropshire and has gained significant renown for its quality. The signature 8th hole is no exception and is a wonderfully crafted par-4 which is a great challenge for golfers of all levels.
Measuring in at 382-yards, it requires players to hit an accurate tee shot avoiding the bunkers which guard the fairway. The approach is just a matter of negotiating the water hazard which guards a relatively simple green, although don’t get suckered into the water.
The Hotel & Spa
Since being taken in by the QHotel chain, Telford Hotel, Spa and Golf Resort has undergone a massive redevelopment costing an impressive £10.2million which has completely transformed the hotel.
Off the course, guests can relax in one of the resort's spa facilities. Choose from the sauna, heated loungers, swimming pool and more. Dine in the 1779 restaurant or head to the Gorge Bar and relax with a drink and something to eat.
With 114 bedrooms designed to a luxurious standard and all with the necessary modern commodities, guests will not be disappointed with the accommodation. Each of the luxurious bedrooms are split up into standard rooms, superior king rooms, and Q star rooms for those looking for that extra bit of comfort.
The 1779 restaurant is the ideal place for people staying at the resort to enjoy a classic meal with great European cuisine and panoramic views across the Ironbridge Gorge. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a relaxing drink, a bite to eat and soak up the Shropshire countryside in the more informal Gorge Bar.
